Reviving Hardened Fine Line 2000 Paste: Tips and Tricks

If you have an old can of Fine Line 2000 paste that has hardened or dried up, you might be wondering if there’s a way to soften it back to its original state. Is it still usable or is it time to say goodbye to it?

One possible solution is to try using a mixture of borax and water. Brazing flux, which is what Fine Line 2000 paste is made of, contains potassium salts of Boron and Fluorine. If the paste is white or black, it might also contain boron. The can might mention silver and antimony as well.

Another method you can attempt is to pour in some alcohol or water into the paste and stir it thoroughly. This could help in softening the hardened paste and making it usable again.
