To copy double-layer and multilayer boards accurately, extensive experience and proficient skills are necessary. Ensure that the wiring rules for the original board are defined in the copying software, overlaying the top-layer PCB file onto the scanned image of the other layer for precise circuit drawing.

For multilayer boards, sand down the surface layer after tracing the surface PCB file map to reveal the inner layer wiring patterns, which can then be replicated using specialized copying software.

2. Scanning Process

Accuracy is paramount in PCB copying, especially for high-precision applications like mobile phone boards. The initial scan’s precision significantly influences the accuracy of the copied board. Careful selection and calibration of the scanner are essential for producing layouts with meticulous precision.
