In different applications, the design of the flexible board varies. It is important to specify the intended use and test conditions required for design verification in the design document. The following are some typical application types:

Type A: able to withstand the need for flexibility during installation (flexibility during installation)

Type B: able to withstand the number of continuous flexible bending specified in the design document (dynamic flexibility)

Type C: High temperature environment (above 105°C)

Type D: UL certification

Type E: Light, small, and thin design needs

The above types can be used alone or in combination. Due to the unique characteristics of flexible boards, they have been widely used in various fields such as automobiles, portable computers, mobile phones, communications, medical care, and aerospace. For example, the part of the flexible board used in the mobile phone is shown in the figure below.
