I designed a custom control box for my macro studio to manage the back-lit and front-lit lights on my subject (turning them on and off). This is essential for my workflow, as precise lighting control is crucial for macro photography.
I purchased a macro studio setup from eBay, but it did not come with a control unit—only direct USB power connections.
To address this, I needed to integrate three USB ports and three toggle switches into a single control unit. Initially, I encountered challenges with the first version of the circuit boards, primarily due to sizing issues. However, thanks to my 3D printer, I was able to resolve the problems and proceed with the project.
